Christmas coffee presents!

I have to admit that I love to experiment with presentation of my favorite drink so I am extremely happy that after hours of browsing on Pinterest in search for interesting ideas this set simply landed under our Christmas tree. Maybe it sounds crazy from a person who already owns quite a few sets of coffee cups, but I really think this one makes a huge difference. You see in our house we somehow do not like to carry snacks to the living room - I have a mild phobia of turning into a couch potato, so I tend to each in the kitchen on the large kitchen table, not living room. Yet occasionally in the evening (yes, we tend to drink coffee in the evening too) we like to sneak in a cuppa and share it while we watch a movie. So these are perfect for any small biscuit or a piece of chocolate you might wish to enjoy next to your drink. Unique ideas are the best! Big hug to Gabi and Kim for their lovely present!

My love and coffee!:)

I have to tell you that I really, really did not expect that my everyday life is going to change so much because of this blog! Christmas tree was full of coffee mugs! Many of my friends ask me about coffee and when I am to visit them actually seem to be stressed out thinking I might be a bit picky about the types of coffee they happen to have in their houses! I have to do a lot of explaining that I really, really do not mind. (I have a confession to make though: I did start to carry small packets of Starbuck's coffee in case of emergency about half a year ago - is that a bad sign? - but not when visiting my friends!). And when I mention that I am writing a coffee blog people open up and treat me with amazing stories about their personal coffee experiences, a good book or a local anecdote. I start to realise how important coffee is in our lives and how endless the topic might turn out to be.

And those who are my closest souls treat me with small surprises. My boyfriend for example asked me the other day what would I do if he presents me with a ring. Knowing his and my take on marriage (a no, for your records) I responded "It really depends on the question you are about to ask,...or not ask me!;))". And so, on our last monthly anniversary he HAS indeed presented me with a ring, this ring:

Don't you think it's a cute and really heart warming gesture? There is something of a boy in me...at least I associate it with boyish nature - I really, really love to feel that people respect and appreciate, feed my passions. So I am really happy to wear this one on my hand and every time I see it, I smile. If you want to get one for your friend - it's worth it, it's a really good quality present! Do check out the producer's page (there are some cute and witty ideas there;)).

The geek in me

I was quiet this week. Basically since the 6th of January I am still celebrating my Birthday which means...presents! Today I have been given this:

I really, really wanted it - like a kid, the geek in me simply wanted to test it! And it IS amazing. It looks great! It's solid but light. Coffee is kept nice and warm and tastes great so I can take it with me to the office in Oxford or to meet clients in London or other locations.

It's exactly what I call "cool" though I do not use the word that often!

It's surprising. I am sure I will use it at work - it will kick off conversation with anyone, really!;) I like small physical items that get people talking and connect with me better.

Since I started to write this blog people around me open up and share so many stories! I will try to save most of them, keep in this mug and when I come around the web - share with you!
